From Ibadan, to the world, and home again.
Born and raised in Ibadan, Bimbo Adekanmbi built his early career in Nigerian banking, at Global Bank, MBC Bank and Liberty Bank in Lagos, before moving to the United Kingdom, where he consulted on major projects for clients including IBM (UK Department for Transport), Accenture (BG Group) and Birmingham City Council.
In 2011, at the invitation of the late Governor Abiola Ajimobi, he returned home to serve, and has spent more than a decade since managing Oyo State’s money, budgets and institutions. He is married to Dr. Olukemi Adekanmbi.
Bridge-builder: trusted with senior roles by two rival administrations: Ajimobi’s and Makinde’s.

Coordinated Government House operations and sat on the State Executive Council under Governor Abiola Ajimobi.

Led fiscal management, budget oversight and revenue administration for the state through a difficult national fiscal period.

Steered the state’s internally generated revenue agency during his period of service.
